Area Requirements
Seating:
People standing - 5 to 6 sq. ft. per person.
(Cocktail Parties)
People standing and sitting - 8 sq. ft. per person
People sitting 8' long tables - 8 sq. ft. per person
People sitting 60" round tables - 10 to 12 sq. ft. per person
People sitting 54" round tables - 10 to 12 sq. ft. per person
* Using just about any type round tables use 10 to 12 sq. ft. per person.
Cathedral seating (row seating) - 8 sq. ft. per person.
This will leave a center aisle as well as side aisles.
Then add 1 10 x 20 or 10 x 30 section up front (or more if needed) for the ceremony.
Buffet & Head Tables:
Allowing 2.5' around all sides (even if serving from one side).

For each additional 6' table, add 45 sq. ft.
For tight seating, deduct 29 percent for just 1 table and about 15 percent for each

Cake & Gift Table: (round)
The size of this table depends on the cake size, number of
guest, etc. You have to "guesstimate" size.
Allowing 4' clearance around tables is best although 3' can be used at minimum.
